The Brun de Vian-Tiran factory relies on a highly skilled French team of artisans with the manual and technical expertise to carry out the 15 steps that go into manufacturing their creations.
The process starts with wools sourced from five continents.Fibers are carded and spun into threads which are woven using special techniques into the type and style of fabric required.
Fabric is then finished by felting – the fabric, then gently scratching it with teasels to raise the nap. The teasels, are unique to Brun de Vian-Tiran and bring out all the softness and character of the natural fibres while preserving the fabric.
Brun de Vian-Tiran works in partnership with the French National School of Industrial creation. Masters Students who understand the production process, develop a capsule of designs some of which are then selected and manufactured by BVT.
Beautiful raw materials – and Nature – respond so well when treated with respect!
As do the unique people who enjoy using BVT’s creations.
