    Small feathers are used in duvets so their quills do not cause discomfort and the duvet does not get too heavy over the body.

    Down is soft and airy, very comfortable acts like an insulator, is durable and sustainable.
    Goose down clusters are generally larger and fluffier than duck down clusters.

    Down and feather are mixed together to provide the feel and weight of duvet desired. The general rule is use more down than feather for the duvet to remain lightweight.
