In 1808, Charles Tiran and his son-in-law, Laurent Vian, started a fulling mill in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Provence. Two generations later, Emile Brun married Laurent’s granddaughter and the company was renamed Brun de Vian-Tiran.
Eight generations and more than 200 years later, their direct descendants, Pierre Brun and his son Jean-Louis, continue the adventure. As do local families of true craftsmen and women who have accompanied the factory through the generations.
It takes years of partnerships to discover an outstanding type of wool and gain a thousandth of a millimetre in fibre fineness. This is the price BVT willingly pays to enhance the softness and comfort of its final products even further. Merino, Mohair, Alpaca, Cashmere… Brun de Vian-Tiran is constantly engaged in a never-ending quest for the greatest, finest, softest material.
Brun de Vian-Tiranuses these unique natural materials and their generations of knowledge and skill to create the most amazing bedding items enjoyed by unique people the world over.
